Z-Wave Plug-In Switch ApplianceController

The Z-Wave Plug-In Appliance Module Switch Controller plugs into your power outlet to provide remote on/off control of the power supply. Lamps, fans, heaters, etc can be plugged in, switched on, and controlled as if the power point was being switched on & off. You can switch on a bed lamp from in bed, or turn off a fan plugged into a power point across the room.

Compatible with HouseMate environment control

The Z~Series is compatible with our ClickToPhone HouseMate environment control system (ECS). Providing disability access to control appliances and devices via your wireless network. This can be achieved using Z~Series in conjunction with an Android phone or Tablet running the the ClickToPhone app and paired with the HouseMate ECS and suitably accessible switch.

The Z-Wave Plug-In Switch Controller Appliance Modules have a 10A rating, which means they can switch most domestic appliances that are designed to plug into a standard power point. One module will be required for each appliance. In practice the appliance itself is left with its power switch permanently in the 'ON' position and it is started and stopped by interrupting the 240Volt at the power point. Note that this type of control does not suit all appliances - for example a CD player will stop if the power is interrupted but when the power is turned back on the CD will usually just go into a standby mode rather than start playing. A simple test is to try starting and stopping your intended device by switching it off and on at the power point.
